People
We cross paths with so many people daily without exchanging a single word with them. Whether that be a stranger on the street, or a familiar face in the neighbourhood grocery store or during our daily commute. For the most part we choose who walks into our lives.
Every once in a while we have an influx of new people and new energy in our lives. For instance when we start a new job, join a new school or move countries. People we didn’t even know existed suddenly become a part of our everyday life.
In between all these changes and moves, we sometimes have to say goodbye to those we need to leave behind, willingly or unwillingly. Relationships can have expiry dates too. Trying to hold on to people forever may result in pain, so instead of hurting, we choose to let go and remember the good times fondly.
Despite all of life’s chaos, there are people who choose to stay. And those, who we may rarely or never see again but that leave a lasting impact on our life int he most unexpected way.
I’m grateful for all my people. The ones who stayed and the ones that I got to know but had to let go along the way.
